Low Lying Fog
October 21st, 2009 by John WolfeIf you run a fogger in your haunted cemetery, then odds are you’re probably like me — always on the lookout for ways to improve the fog’s performance. After buying a fog machine during the 90′s (and using it for twelve Halloweens… until it broke) and then buying four foggers during the last two Halloweens, I can honestly say that fog machines of yore greatly outperformed these new “plastic jobs.” Alas, that’s the state of most items nowadays.
With that in mind, a haunter needs all the help they can get to boost the performance of modern day foggers. YouTube user subatomix has a great and simple suggestion featured in this video for creating low lying fog without using ice or dry ice: use an irrigation tube/hose to force the fog into your yard haunt.
The theory is the hose creates resistance for the fog; that resistance causes the fog to become more dense as it circulates the tube looking for an exit. As long as there’s no wind, your fog should caress and cuddle the chilly grounds of your graveyard as it pours forth from the tiny openings. I’m hoping to try this tip in the coming days. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.
