Vampire Exorcism

June 29th, 2010 by John Wolfe

Autumnforest first turned me on to “Vampire Exorcism” a few months ago on her blog, and I find myself playing it whenever I need a little spooky shot in the arm. The Gothic imagery is totally inspirational for taking on whatever wickedly creepy, creative activity that tickles your fancy. It also doesn’t hurt that the images are backed up by Nox Arcana’s awesome “Night of the Wolf” track from the album Transylvania.

It’s a sure bet I’ll be watching this prior to working on the Angel of Death prop tomorrow–speaking of which, I’ve finally been giving him some attention again. I hope to have an update posted in the next week or two.

On another note, I’d like to congratulate Andrea of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Gene Savage, also of Collinsville, Oklahoma. They each won a packet of Zombie Blood. I was amazed when Andrea and Gene responded with their shipping info and both happen to live in Collinsville! I guess The Sooner State was hungry for zombie blood.

Haunted Histories Giveaway

June 26th, 2010 by John Wolfe

The Haunted Histories Giveaway has closed. Update 8/5/10: I’d like to congratulate Barry Huddleston of Florida, Dex1138 of Lynn, Massachusetts and Theresa N. of North Augusta, South Carolina! They each won a Haunted Histories Collection DVD boxed set.

The Haunted History of Halloween, Hauntings, Vampire Secrets, Salem Witch Trials, and Poltergeists can all be found in this History Channel collection of 5 DVDs. Though I haven’t seen all of the programs, I have watched the Halloween special on more than one occasion. It’s one of my all-time favorite documentaries pertaining to the history of Halloween/Samhain. In this contest, I’m giving three, brand new Haunted Histories box sets to three separate winners.

Guidelines for Entering

Please, only one entry per household. Duplicate entries from the same IP will be deleted. These giveaways are really based on the honor system, but I do my best to make it as fair as possible for everyone. There’s no catch here, everything is free–including payment of shipping and handling for “Haunted Histories”–I cover all costs. To be entered, leave a comment below showing your interest.

Depending on the volume of entries, comments may only be displayed under this post for a short time. As entries grow, I may remove comments to make it easier for visitors to scroll to the comment box and enter. However, I guarantee all entries will be saved in the order they are received.

When leaving a comment, be sure to include your correct e-mail address and be certain to keep track of your spam or bulk folder after the drawing closes, just in case. Each winner of the Haunted Histories box set will be contacted through the e-mail address that’s registered with their comment. I will never share addresses, provided by entrants, with any third parties and you’ll never receive unsolicited mail when entering.

This “Haunted Histories” contest will end at 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on August 1, 2010. All legitimate entries will then be assigned a number in the order they were received. Three numbers will be randomly drawn to determine the winners.

All three winners will then be notified, via the e-mail addresses they provided, no later than August 3rd. If one, or all three don’t respond (with their shipping information) within two weeks, then one (two, or three) more number(s) will be drawn to determine the new winner(s). Upon receiving their permission, the winners’ names will be featured at the top of this post.
