A Gourd-geous Skull

March 5th, 2009 by John Wolfe

I’m not sure if butternut squash is classified as a gourd or not, but I couldn’t resist the pun. Speaking of butternut squash, here’s an awesome squash carving from the Skull-A-Day (for a year) project. Funny thing, about two weeks ago I had an idea for creating or carving a jack-o-lantern a day. I had never even heard of the Skull-A-Day project until searching yesterday for squash. The idea is still fermenting, but after seeing Noah’s project, I’m considering creating the notorious pumpkin eyes and grin in every medium I can get my hands on. I’ll keep you posted.

    HalloweenLvrNo1,

Thanks, I appreciate it. Often times, whenever I go to my grandparents’ house, my grandfather will fix a squash that tastes like spaghetti. It’s great!
