A Haunted St. Patty’s Day

March 17th, 2010 by John Wolfe

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, this entry features Irish cemetery photos, accompanied by Nox Arcana’s amazing music. According to YT user, witchescauldron, the locations where the photos were taken are purported to be haunted. While the images don’t contain anything paranormal, they do give off that nice spooky feeling!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

You know, I think that’s the music that would be in my head if I went to those places and saw them in person. I always think if I went to a Celtic graveyard that’s ancient and just sat there, I’d probably not get up for an entire day because I would just want to soak it up. I’d probably spend the first hour going “I can’t believe I’m really here.” Some folks might feel that way at Disneyland or the Eiffel Tower or the Grand Canyon, but me, I want to sit in an ancient graveyard well into dark, sketchbook in hand and nightvision camera. That was wonderful!

Great video post! I would kill to visit Ireland. Happy St. Patty’s Day to you as well.

Hey John, do you have any idea how old some of those tombstones are? I suppose I can find it online myself just as easy. This was a lovely video and the music piece chosen is most excellent. In fact I would have to say it’s in my top 5 tracks, if not maybe 3. I cling to the changes of tones and the more dramatic flare up on this piece…it strikes my heart a certain way, really can’t describe it.

The collection of the favored pics is stunning and when played side by side to Nox Arcana, I was indeed mesmerized in a tremendous way. Truly nice find my friend. Your natural ability to find the unique and rare is shocking. Clearly your an old soul ;-)

Cool vid, man! I LOVE Nox Arcana, and I recognize the tune, since I own this CD. Not my favorite, but still very eerie. Anyways, Happy St. Patty’s Day!!!

    autumnforest,

I understand where you’re coming from–I’m exactly the same way when it comes to old or even ancient locations. I’d much rather visit a very old cemetery than go to crowded theme parks or touristy landmarks. Plus, there’s just something about cemeteries of the UK–Highgate (my personal favorite) and the other six that form “The Magnificent Seven” in England are phenomenal!

    Dr. Necropolis,

    Thanks for watching and posting.

    Goldie,

Sorry, but I’m not sure on the age of the stones. Since witchescauldron didn’t give location names, I didn’t do any research. Glad you enjoyed the vid and happy to hear this particular piece by Nox Arcana resonated with you.

I don’t know if my soul is old or not, but my body is certainly starting to feel that way! :D

    Damian,

Thanks, man. I hear you about Nox Arcana–I love their stuff, too! Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Pam,

    Thank you.

We had a strange St Patrick’s day when two men dressed as Leprocauns tried to rob a local bank. The robery ended in a gun fight and at least one of the green clad men were killed. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100319/NEWS03/3190348/1017/NEWS01

I cant belive I spelled Leprechaun so badly. ugh!

Thanks for sharing, Ethan. No worries on your spelling. I do that all the time and have to rely on my browser’s spell check to fix most of my stuff. :)
