I make a point to visit all three of my local Spirit stores every September and October, but there were many props in the above footage I’ve never seen before. It would seem that all of the regional depots (mentioned in the first vid) receive staple Spirit Halloween items from the main warehouse, but there must also be a few unique items that only certain regions receive.
I’d love to see a full-blown documentary on every aspect of Spirit Halloween. It could feature manufacturing, distribution, marketing, set up and breakdown of stores, in-depth interviews with management and employees, the customer rush during Halloween week, etc. I think it would be fascinating to see every facet of their operation.

I agree–what a dream business to own, huh? I think just spending a year hunting new items and being the buyer would be too exciting! A lot of those items I’ve never seen. It’s amazing what they can do with the animatronix type pieces. Still, my favorite thing they showed was the original style ghost–like a person with a sheet on.

Being a buyer and getting to go through tons of Halloween decor; picking and choosing what’s to be part of the upcoming merchandise for the new season would be so cool!

This was such a cool find, yet again my dear friend! The Spirit stores where I live are HUGE, absolutely massive in size and spread out about every 3-4 miles apart from each other. I noticed that last year they took over one of the new vacant lots where the Bed Bath and Beyond used to be and that store is even bigger than the one they have been using. What does this mean? MORE HALLOWEEN GOODIES!!! I always enjoy the browsing because it’s sort of like being in a haunted house but without the shock/scare tactic so it’s very safe ground for me and I love every minute of it
I think that would be awesome if they could do a full documentary on Spirit Stores. LoL, John, sweetie if you keep talking so much about Spirit stores, your liable to get a call from them TOO regarding your website.
Season of Shadows is going places big time this year and I’m most thrilled and very honored to be allowed along for the journey. It’s a beautiful unfolding to watch my friend. It’s obvious to anyone who comes to this website that the creator of this great page cares tremendously about the site, the variety of content and the viewers who enjoy their stay here. You have a forever friend and great supporter in me for YOU and both of your websites John. Well done my friend and keep up the amazing work, pleaseeeeee.

That’s what I love about our Spirit Store at Cutler Ave. in Albuquerque. Its location used to be an old Comp USA and there’s plenty of square footage to spread out on tons of Halloween items, similar to the old Bed, Bath and Beyond location where you live. The Cutler store is the location where I filmed my Spirit Halloween 2009 video footage.
Thank you, Goldie. It’s like I’ve said before — all of you guys who contribute to Season of Shadows are just as much a part of the site as I am. I truly feel like SOS belongs to you guys, too, because you are contributing your own personal touches to the content and I want to make you feel at home on the site. With my future plans to further expand upon the concept of having an interactive, open community at Season of Shadows, your contributions will continue to help sculpt and mold the direction of SOS. It may take another couple of years to bring everything online that I have in the works, but it’ll get there.

Nice one. Been to spirit in other states and always wondered how they got everything ready and taken down so quickly. Just wish there’s a spirit near me.

I’m the same way when it comes to their operation and business model. It’s always intrigued me. Hope you get a Spirit Store in your area soon. Thanks for reading and commenting, fright night.
