Black Cats & Pumpkins

After coaxing Spooky into posing next to one of my pumpkins, I performed an online search looking for more black cats and orange gourds. There are a ton of artwork images featuring the two together, but surprisingly not a lot of actual photographs. It seems both Halloween icons aren’t all that excited to pose next to one another.
Personally, I love black cats, but they do seem to have a mysterious air about them. The few I’ve been around are a little camera shy and prefer to stay out of sight, hiding in the shadows until the time is right to pounce. Spooky wasn’t having any part of the pumpkin until his favorite ball was rolled right next to it. So, from now on I’m on the lookout for more of the perfect Halloween photographs: the elusive black cat and jack-o-lantern combo.
