Broomba

July 24th, 2009 by John Wolfe

When it comes to shopping, I’m the type of person that does very little self-indulging, that is, until Halloween rolls around. Every year, I purchase a toy, or two, or three (or more) related to my favorite holiday. For example, last year, it was the Halloween Projector and the Glow Ghosts and Zombies t-shirt. This year, it looks like the Broomba will be added to my collection. The broom is sound activated, and whisks itself around the room while playing a witch’s cackle and offbeat Halloween music.

While the product is being marketed as a Halloween item, I wish the manufacturer would have made it a little more “witchy” looking. I suppose the aesthetics really don’t matter because, ultimately, my cats will be the final judges of the product. As long as it moves and can be attacked, they could care less what it looks like. :D Broomba will be available in August at Frontgate.com

Oooohhhh your cats are just gonna LOVE this one ;-) Or hide under the bed, LoL!!! SNL did a skit on the Roomba last year but it started with a V and I won’t dare share details as to what kind of cleaner it was for ;-) If you know of SNL, then you are quite aware of their sense of humor but the skit WAS funny!!!

    Atrueoriginall,

I haven’t read his work in quite some time, but growing up I was very fascinated by his stories, especially “The Tell-tale Heart.” Naturally, being obsessive-compulsive, I was always curious about how someone’s eyeball could drive a person to madness! As an adult, I find myself far more intrigued by Poe’s life. Creative geniuses and their biographies always peak my interest.

    Goldie,

I haven’t seen that one, but based on your description, I have a good idea of the angle they were going for. :)
