Creepy Pixelvision Cemetery
July 2nd, 2010 by John WolfeToday’s vid entry features Greenwood Cemetery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Aside from the location’s age (Greenwood was established between 1849 and 1852), what I found most interesting about this footage was the manner in which it was filmed. YT user, spear913 shot the entire thing with a 1980′s toy video camera.
The PXL-2000 (also known as a Pixelvision camera) was manufactured by Fisher-Price and used compact audio cassettes for its recording medium. The result is a grainy, black and white image that’s perfect for making anything look extra spooky!

I love the creepy music. It makes me feel like something awful is about to happen or that the graveyard is evil in and of itself. Black and white is always a good way to go as well.

Oh yeah, the music was great! And any black and white footage that’s intended to be spooky or scary always reminds me of Nosferatu. Thanks for watching and commenting, Ethan.

Very cool effect, defenitely gives the whole thing a creepy feeling. The music is nice because it is not too overpowering and distracting, but still keeps you on your toes. Thanks for sharing this!
