Crows in the Cornfield
November 23rd, 2008 by John Wolfe
Make that crow in the cornfield. I’ve been keeping watch on a nearby field, since well before Halloween. Each time I drive past, there are a ton of crows picking through the remains. Today, I decided I’d stop and grab a few images. I knew the “murder” would be tricky to photograph on foot, so I crept slowly alongside the road, fifty or so feet from the field. That still didn’t fool them. They all flew except one, so he became my subject. I’ll be trying this experiment again soon, as long as the farmer doesn’t make any sudden changes to their buffet.
