Images such as this one always remind me of the time I spent in Germany as a child. Though Halloween wasn’t really recognized in the European community during the 80′s, the often gloomy weather, combined with the historic scenery and landscape provided the perfect backdrop for Halloween ambiance. The German villages never encouraged our trick-or-treating pursuits (think Charlie Brown receiving a rock 
), however, we were always rewarded during our visits to American homes on the base.
