Evil Black Squadron

September 18th, 2009 by John Wolfe

Sent to me by a friend a number of years ago, the cover of this Halloween card is graced by a coven of cartoonish witches. The picture didn’t come out as clear as I would have liked, but it’s twelve witches and a warlock all utilizing a variety of haphazard transportation. There’s only one broom in the bunch and it’s equipped with a harpoon-like tip. The rest are flying around on winged skulls, devil heads, a vulture and several other contraptions.

The card came from Leanin Tree. While I couldn’t locate the “Basic Evil Black Squadron,” they do have several other Halloween cards to choose from.

Tina, if you’re reading this — I still get a huge kick out of this image!

It kinda reminds me of our freeways in AZ!

Ooh, sorry to hear your traffic is bad. As a kid, I lived in San Antonio, TX and the freeway traffic there was pretty wild with over a million people living in the city. Needless to say, though I never had to drive in it, I don’t miss that type of congestion.
