Ghostly Shower Gel

December 14th, 2008 by John Wolfe

A few weeks ago, I discovered the Halloween Haunted House shower gel set by Philosophy; after doing more searching for gels and shampoos, I’ve uncovered another spooky, Halloween themed item: Ghost Shower Gel by Lush. I’m sort of a “shower with whatever’s handy” kind of guy (that includes occasionally washing my hair with bar soap) – so, I don’t really get into fancy toiletries. However, I’m enjoying the concept of Halloween themed shower items.

Ghost Gel is said to have the haunting scent of lilies. I’m not sure what’s haunting about smelling like lilies, but I guess Lush assumes that’s a more marketable fragrance than having the product smell like formaldehyde. Now, that would truly be spooky. :)

I was only able to find Ghost Shower Gel through a UK based distributor called DooYoo. One of the great things about the product is it’s not tested on animals!

Mmmm, the smell of lilies :-) 2 of my candels smell of lilies, among the other candles like pumpkin spice, orange clove (LOVE the smell of clove!), apple cinnamon, tea rose, sage cinnamon and last but not least sandlewood. Now mind you, I don’t burn all those flavors at once, but I have about 3 of each and choose the “flavor” for the night since I’m a low lighting kind of person. Can’t say upon smelling lilies I would think Halloween but smelling pumpkin spice always reminds me of October. Now the smell you mentioned–formaldehyde–that’s just straight up nasty John….LoL. I guess you see/think of corpses and dead bodies at Halloween where I tend to be more Earthy and see pumpkins and the colors of fall ;-)

Ahhh, to be a male–wash your hair with a bar of soap–amazing! Hey, I guess technically your still getting clean right? Soap is soap. In my shower you could choose from lavendar, coconut, ocean breeze or Aussie shampoo….of course with matching conditioner flavors, though you probably don’t condition your hair, can’t think of many men who do. To be a male, in and out of the shower in less than 5 minutes and not 15, lucky you ;-) I still don’t know how you find these odds and end Halloween thingys, incredible. Great find, yet again dear friend and nice to share this shower experience with ya ;-)
