Grim Hollow Haunt
November 14th, 2008 by John Wolfe
After spending a good week on working with the new site layout, I can finally get back to more consistent blogging. What better place to start than showcasing some extremely talented mache artists and their Halloween 2008 creations? The Grim Hollow ‘08 Haunt featured frost, groundbreakers, and lantern toting ghosts, but not necessarily in that order.
Grim Hollow is one of a select few artistic haunters, I’m aware of, who actually leaves his props outside for more than Halloween night. Because of that fact, he was able to catch some great images of frozen dew on his graveyard corpses. The frost really turns up the creep effect on the mache skulls!
However, mache isn’t his only talent. He’s gotten really good with Monster Mud creations as well, as can be seen in this image of his Cloaked Ghost. He created two of these props and both evoke images of something disembodied roaming around a medieval graveyard in Europe…just too cool!!! I highly recommend his site and blog.
