Halloween: 119 Days & Counting

July 4th, 2009 by John Wolfe

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th! Today always represents the peak of summer and the impending crawl to fall, and in about two weeks the stores should be gearing up for Christmas! Seriously though, take time to enjoy your day and celebrate what really matters (spending time with loved ones). And, as the dog days of summer hit, remember Halloween is just a click away at SOS. ;)

Gosh, so soon!!! Where did this year go? As you know, I’ve seen Halloween decos and pumkins already stocking the shelves at Micheal’s Craft Store. It’s funny to see that when it’s 102 degrees outside but the fantastic fall season is very much right around the corner…….amazing! Happy 4th of July to you too John :-)

Thanks! I’m counting the days myself, waiting for them to get shorter and cooler. Planning a real cool Halloween party this year, so the countdown days are filled with lots of preparation for a fantastic cemetery to have “dancing in the graveyard” themed party.

I hope you had a lovely weekend :)

Haunters keep flashing that count down at me and putting me in a bit of a panic!

    Goldie,

That would probably seem strange to me too, except for the fact I pretty much am involved in some form of Halloween in one way or another almost 365 days out of the year. :) In fact, it’s such a part of my life, it would be weird to not think about or see Halloween someplace (like my storage area, work area, or online) whether it’s ten degrees out or 110. I’m glad you told me about Michael’s. It always feels like home when I visit a retailer with Halloween items in stock! Hope you guys had a nice fourth.

    autumnforest,

That sounds like a great theme! I’m not a big party person, but attending a party in a homemade cemetery sounds really cool! What music are you planning on using?

    Ghoul Friday,

I know exactly what you mean. No matter my intentions, I always manage to get behind in my prep. Since I have plans for an entire haunt overhaul next year, that should get me into the garage/workshop by at least December. So, hopefully Halloween 2010 will be brought in on time.
