Pam,

Thank you so much for your message! And thanks for checking out the video and haunt photos.

ShellHawk,

Great to hear from you again! Thanks a lot. I hope you had an awesome Halloween.

Goldie,

Happy to hear you liked it! I was hoping this video would help give the full picture to everyone who was watching through the webcam. I really want to expand upon the live haunt broadcast next year by adding an additional webcam for sure. I may even add two more for a total of three cameras running.

I'm like you when it comes to fog of any kind - I love it! Thanks to the tips from the Low Lying Fog video post, I think the fog performed better this year than ever before.

It always sounds weird to think Halloween is still so far out on a countdown, yet those 354 days will go by very quickly! I'll be working hard (both in my mind's eye and physically) to have 2010 be the best yet for Season of Shadows.

If I didn't have so many things to take care of on Halloween night, your hooded figure idea would work well in my haunt too! I'd love to do that. There's always people asking where to get the candy. It confuses some because we are standing out on the sidewalk. If I dressed up like your description, then I could just point to the door. :D

Thanks again for the great feedback!

Ethan,

Thanks! Green and blue sounds like it would make a cool combination -- being color blind, it's hard for me to mix lighting colors. I had been thinking about trying some others, but the more often I use the red, the more I become hooked on continuing to use it.

S.K.Austin,

Glad you liked it. And, thank you as well for the inspiration. Knowing my haunt inspires others, continues to inspire me too. :)

Camile,

So good to hear from you again! I can't thank you enough for the kind words about the haunt. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Very cool. I should have recorded my work but I was just busy as hell. I also did not stay home for the trick r treaters. I like the red lights you use. I use green and blue. I like the sickly look it gives everything.

THIS IS AWESOME JOHN!! As I slowly nibbled on my raw soybeans from their pods this morning, watching and admiring this video kept me great company. I adore how great this turned out and am most appreciative that you took video footage of your haunt this year. Having done this gave the haunt a completely distinctive feel and look for those of us who were on your webcam that night.

The fog, the fog, the fog........oh where do I even begin as to how stupendous it was to see it linger around your groundbreakers! I've seen quite a few videos with people using foggers but never have I found that eerie mist more ghoulish than it lingering around on your yard haunt. I love how it caressed the ground, worming through the leaves, curving around the skin torn corpses and radiated upwards from the tomb stones. Watching the fog in action like that really made a huge difference in showing us just how colossal of an effect it was on the haunt. I'm not sure which was my favorite this year, your corpses, the fog, the spooky lighting, the cross and lantern, the scarecrow or the leaves. They're all my preferred ones and clearly added to the magnificence and impressiveness of a superb and splendid Halloween Haunt Show!!! Job beyond well done dear one...........truly outstanding work John and, though Halloween 2010 is 354 days away, I'm most anxious and excited for your up and coming new Halloween Haunt.

Exquisite video by the way, loved the "tour" of the grounds and the slight hint of creepy music in the background. You would be perfect for the "lantern tours" at the cemetery where I live. I could see you now, some elongate black cloak that schleps on the ground behind you, hood over your head so nobody could see you, a long skeletal arm poking out from the cloak to direct everyone and your low and gravelly voice telling stories of those who once dwelled on earth. Yes, perfect indeed ;-) Thank you for sharing this video with us, it's one of my favorites from SeasonofShadows for sure!
