Halloween 2010 – Update 8

March 23rd, 2010 by John Wolfe

Spent some time redoing the prop’s body this week. Since I’m making up the design of the “Angel” as I go along, there may be a few more “build and rebuild” phases before the entire structure is complete.

Awesome. I can see where you’re going with it–I can picture what you mean about the neck. Good decisions. I love watching this happen. It’s like watching Stan Winston at work. Thanks so much for sharing it!

Looking awesome. Hopefully the weather cooperates and allows you to get the wings(s) all set up. I’m dying to see what they will turn out like. Good luck.

Lookin’ forward to the finished product.

YEP! This helped greatly. I got thinking about that on the last video update: your accustomed to making ground-breakers as decayed humans so the size worked out perfectly. However, from both the angel of death video you favored and the look of this one over the past week one thing was rather obvious – his body size, chest cavity, neck and so forth looked as though it might be way out of proportion to the size he really needs to be. Granted, he’s not some massive body but in order to fit the wings you have designed, his body really did need to grow.

Thank you for this update and keep up the great work.

Yeah, he was definitely in need of some “Miracle Grow.” :) His wings are still going to overshadow the body, but I think that’s an exaggerated effect that will work, but it would have been way too exaggerated had I left the torso smaller.

Thanks for watching, Goldie, and for your feedback and support.
