Halloween Cats

April 25th, 2009 by John Wolfe

While I’ve never decorated my haunt with the “cutesy” fan-driven Halloween inflatables, I have come to admire several of these characters. A few years ago, I was put in charge of assembling the company Halloween decorations at a former place of employment. They had a great looking eight-foot, Frankenstein inflatable I used to place in the lobby, however, the black cats are new ones on me.

The only suggestion I have for this photo is more fog – similar to Christopher Walken’s character in that SNL Blue Oyster Cult skit: ” I gotta have more cowbell, baby!” Guess what? I got a fever and the only prescription is more fog! :)

LoL…I’m stuck on SOS and I can’t get off ;-) I got so interested in your many great selections here on line that I went “home” to find my place with something, LoL, and went, “hey, where did this cat photo come from…..how did I miss that?” LoL, I didn’t, you JUST NOW posted it. Now that’s what I call being a hard core fan of Seasonofshadows ;-) Too funny!

Holy Moly, those cats are huge! Wow. Yes, more fog, fog, fog, thick fog, big fog, TONS of fog……….it was the fog rolling out from under the buildings at Universal Studios that night that really set the mood for what was to come. I mean, kinda sucks when you can’t see the floor your walking on anymore. Lord only knows what you might step on, like some crawling severed arm, or finger parts, or the squirt of fake eyeballs popping under your foot……..lol, fog is such an essential part of any great haunt, but maybe that’s just me. Hate not seeing the ground though……creepy.

Glad to hear you’re getting stuck here – my plan is working! 8)

The professional haunts have some fantastic fog machines – truly top notch ground foggers. I will say, the ground foggers I bought at Spirit Halloween Store actually did a nice job in the yard last year, but nothing beats a high-end fogger. There are some fog machines that actually produce real water vapor fog (just like mother nature) instead of chemical fog fluid fog.

You know, I don’t like inflatables but these cats are pretty cool.

Thanks, Ghoul Friday. I know what you mean about most inflatables, they don’t do it for me either.
