Truly you are a deeply compassionate person and I am beyond grateful you are in my life. It's funny, we aren't even parents and yet we seem to have a greater understanding of the simplicity of children than most out there. After T's BD party last year, all she wanted to do was "wash the rocks for Mother Earth"........yeah, something I taught her. After rinsing them in cold water, the shapes and designs of the rocks would really pop out and some she would keep, much to the dismay of her parents. If there was an empty box, she would want to make a nest for the birds that would fly over at night and might need a "hotel" to stay in :-) T truly was an earth girl and she would rather have played with the moonsand I gave her than to play with her new dress up barbie doll. Ya know, the two people on earth who just about have this right in terms of what jewels children are, are the same to people who are certain they will never have children in this lifetime!!!! It's kind of sad really but I take out my new love on "B" now and show him the same ways and hopefully groom another child in how to appreciate what Earth has to offer him. It's sort of like when parents plunk down a wad of cash on toys for their kids and the children would rather play in the cardboard box than with the toys themselves. Toy companies spend millions on marketing their products for children, yet here's an example of a child that was far more content playing a Halloween/horror themed game which contained no marketing budget and was never really intended for little kids in the first place - classic stuff! I know you miss them. They were such a huge part of your life and I'm sure they miss you. Maybe one of these days you guys can workout a visit. Parents are kinda picky in that way but had she been my own I would have had no problem with it, of course ;-) To this day I'll never forget the look on her dad's face when he asked what we were playing and she said "making the scarecrow's die so we get the bell!!" Her favorite part was the bell and would chant it non-stop when a scarecrow died, "show me the bell.....show me the bell" with her fists pounding on the desk :-) I made a point to ignore one of the three just to appease her in hearing the bell ring and seeing the scarecrow rise from the dead to swat away the pesky crows again. I forgot to mention to you that towards the end there, B also wanted to watch us play so I had T on my right thigh and B on my left!!! I wish someone else was around to catch us on video cause you would have got a kick out of seeing these two little ones so enthralled with the game. God I miss those two!!!! :-( No I didn’t. Plus I always have enjoyed time lapse video making, it puts a new spin on the video and shakes things up a bit. Nice find! Yeah, kids are great and they would surprise you just how quickly they adapt to what they are exposed to. "T" took to the scarecrow game as if it were it favorite Dora The Explorer game. In fact she asked for the "scarecrow" game far more often the DTE game. That's what I meant a few entries back John and the dad who scared his kids.
