Halloween Handyman
April 30th, 2009 by John Wolfe
Discovered a brand new Halloween site today: Halloween Handyman. While it’s still in its infancy, the creator had this great shot posted from his ’08 yard haunt. I’m a sucker for fog, tombstones and ambient lighting.
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on upcoming entries. HH (the owner) has future plans for step-by-step how-to projects. After seeing his cool graveyard, I can’t wait to see what else is up his creative sleeve.

How do you know he’s not just a fanboy who won’t really go through with making a legitimate site, like you. He might have just been bored one day and made the site… Not trying to be a pessimist, but try posting again when he actually has stuff on the site.

I liked his graveyard shot, so I posted the photo and the heads up that the site was online. The site doesn’t appear to have any “fly-by-night” characteristics. Giving the benefit of the doubt is always my motto. If he doesn’t develop the site, so what?

Woah, and I thought I liked the dark red light and fog for night haunts! Something about the greenish lights that give it that “underworld” look. Fog IS an essential, so agreed! Nice creepy shot John, wonderful find.
LoL, that above comment, LoL! What better way to support someone who is new at putting a site together than to give them a shout out. Plus, LoL, since when do you, John, have to have permission from someone else about what you can and cannot put on your website. LoL, amazing. You have countless of photos, stories and videos on here from other people who do NOT have a website. John, I commend you GREATLY for helping out the little guys as well as the big ones! PLEASE, you keep posting whatever your heart and soul desires to post. Beat to your OWN drum John, forever, and not what others demand of you. You keep it real babe, I admire that greatly!
Keep up the GREAT work, Goldie~*~

The strangeness just keeps growing! I noticed the time you posted this entry, without even thinking about it of course, and the time has certain importance to me which I’ll explain in private. Truly incredible though!
Also, the EVP recording from last night was shocking, I mean truly shocking John. I picked up a BOATLOAD of voices and alot of conversation taking place between MANY! After reviewing it early this morning, I’m getting my new recorder today, I have to! Can’t wait to tell you about it.
I heard on the news last night that Twitter’s numbers have dropped considerably since it started. Funny thing was the lady said, ” just because Twitter is there doesn’t mean you should post your business.” LoL, sounds very much like your parent comment you made on Twit. Seems your not the only one who thinks so
Just thought I would share that. Talk to you soon.

Goldie,
I had no idea he used green flood lights – they look white to me – color blindness strikes again. I fully agree about supporting a new site. The owner emailed me yesterday thanking me for the entry. He’s a super kind guy – just as awesome and considerate as can be!
I’m looking forward to hearing about your recent EVP captures. It sounds as though the activity levels were higher last night. I’m still working on editing Monday’s recordings. It will probably take me the rest of the day and then I’ll be making the new video tomorrow.
I, too, have backed off of tweeting quite a bit. It is a great place to network, but I enjoy keeping to myself about the majority of my “doings.”
