Halloween Photos

November 1st, 2008 by John Wolfe

I wanted to provide a couple of preview images from last night. I’m hoping to have the entire 2008 Haunt Photo page up within the next week or two. Initially, I was feeling a little concerned, since I only had one new prop to add this year. However, last night still turned out great for many different reasons. I have never seen a Halloween; in the entire time I’ve been setting up this haunt (in all its different incarnations), where the weather was more perfect.

The temperature was only slightly cool; there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and there was no detectable breeze whatsoever! All four fog machines were able to perform flawlessly. Two ground foggers pushed low lying fog through the leaves, around the tombstones and out into the street, all night long. You could even see the fog barely slipping over the top of the road in the cars’ headlights.

My family was awesome and provided a ton of help. Without their support, I wouldn’t have finished on time. And, I also would like to thank all of the visitors that stopped by to check out the haunt. Your comments have continued to fuel my inspiration for making next Halloween bigger and better.

Thanks so much, Johnny! I really appreciate it. I have some things to do today, but I’ll be starting on my first new prop for ’09 tomorrow. I’m getting a running start on next year. :)

I’m going to incorporate the Halloween ’08 page into the entire site re-design, so hopefully I’ll have it done soon. Thanks again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for these wonderful videos showing how you do your paper mache. I am a huge fan of Pumpkinrot …just spotted you on his blog. I am so excited about making so new props for next year and actually being able to see someone applying the mache is so helpful!
    Very generous of you!

Your haunt photos are wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks, Marianne! Glad you stopped by. Pumpkinrot’s work is awesome! I’m also glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’m not sure if you found the actual blog posts featuring each video or if you’ve been watching them on the little player in the sidebar. But, if you haven’t caught the full size (it’s easier to see), you can find them in my archives section under September and October.

    All my best,
