Halloween Prop Quickies

October 6th, 2008 by John Wolfe

Bucky Lids are great quick prop fixes. The “lids” are made of latex and fit snugly over any bucky skull or similar foam Halloween skull. You have to paint them, but if you are in a jam and need a down and dirty, yet still very creepy looking face for your zombie or corpse prop, they’ll do the trick. Ghost Ride Productions is the primary supplier for Bucky Lids, but they are currently sold out. Fortunately, Grimm Brothers Halloween still has the pack of two (pictured) available. I haven’t ordered from Grimm Brothers, so I can’t speak of their service, but they are an option and look to be a respectable online distributor.

I like all the horror halloween stuff on the internet, I’ve found lots of cool stuff online for halloween, but I do like halloween masks, the way they make em and paint, them, the detail is just ace!!

Nice blog…how did you or where did you get that halloween header graphic, it looks amazingly atmospheric.

Thanks, Wayne. Glad you found Season of Shadows. I made the header from this photo. It was taken during my 2006 haunt. I then added the fence and fog later. Thanks again!
