Halloween Spiders

February 21st, 2009 by John Wolfe

“Step into my parlor,” said the Halloween spider to the fly. :) From the looks of the webs and the size of those spiders, I don’t think flies are on the menu! I found this great shot over at Apartment Therapy. They must have used a ton of industrial strength, stretchy spider webs to achieve that look. Very cool.

Wow! Reminds me of that movie Eight Legged Freaks.

It almost looks like they had to rappel down the side of the building to stretch those babies out! Guerrilla prop-making?

    Andrea,

I never saw that one, but I did see Arachnophobia with John Goodman. Personally, I don’t mind spiders. If I find them in the house, I’ll catch them in a cup and put them outside. :)

    ShellHawk,

No kidding, huh? I was wondering how they stretched all those out too.

Eight Legged Freaks is this goofy movie about spiders exposed to toxic waste. They grow to be huge like the spiders in the picture and take over the town. It’s semi-funny.

    Andrea,

Is that the one with David Arquette (sp?)?

There is no way I would set foot in there. But it is very cool. Thanks for sharing!
