Halloween Store Scares

September 17th, 2009 by John Wolfe

With the Spirit Superstore being one of my favorite Halloween hangouts, this video was right up my alley. I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion Spirit Halloween employees cut loose a lot, but I’ve never been able to catch them in the act. :)

While the scares aren’t extremely startling (nothing like grandma and the haunted house), it’s still entertaining to see people’s reactions.

You know, when you watch it like that, it kinda reminds me of how chimps react to novel things… tee hee hee

OH NO…………not the scary clown face. Me so scared of those damn scary clowns!!! Smart thinking of them to put the “press here” button in front of him. I would have jumped a few feet for sure.

To bad you and your family weren’t able to record back when you and your uncle used to scare the pants off the trick-or-treaters!! Now THAT would have been great to see!!! Nice find John, as always ;-)

That was a good laugh! It amazes me how even the men jump away from it while already knowing it can’t hurt them.

    Thanks.

    autumnforest & Atrueoriginall,

These scare videos always make for an interesting sociological experiment. :)

    Goldie,

I knew you had the chainsaw in a haunted house thing, but I didn’t realize clowns affected you in a similar way. You would have loved the clowns-only-room at a local haunted house I attended about eight years ago. It must have had fifteen clowns rummaging around under several strobe lights!

Yeah, I wish we would have brought the camera out back then on Halloween night. Funny thing, I did make a “Haunter’s Reality” video even back in 1996. I had the intention of sending it out as a VHS tape to interested haunters that I knew via message boards/e-mail. I recorded the process of setting up the haunt, but never finished it due to a lack of editing tools in the mid 90′s.
