Halloween Zombies for Medium

They’re coming to get you, Allison… they’re coming for you. Allison Dubois (played by Patricia Arquette) finds herself in the midst of a “Night of the Living Dead” dreamscape during Medium’s upcoming Halloween special. According to Glenn Gordon Caron (the show’s creator), since transitioning to CBS, the program is now able to explore time-specific episodes, such as a zombie-filled Halloween special.
I haven’t watched Medium in quite a while, but I like this premise; it combines both of my biggest interests: Halloween and the paranormal. No doubt, I’ll be doing a lot of yard haunt work when this airs (no date as of yet), but I’ll definitely have the VCR set. Yeah, I know, I’m still stuck in the 80′s — no DVR for me. 
8/6/09 Update: The Medium Halloween special is scheduled to air on October 30th.

What’s a DVR
Just as the young-in’s ask “what’s a phonograph?” I find that some, not all, of today’s technology I have to ask about. Those close to me know I live a very simple life style and do not collect material goods so owning a DVR would be a huge splurge for me. Shoot, I barely ever have my cell phone with me…….or charged 
I don’t watch much tv but come Friday nights, I do tend to unwind with the tube and one of the shows I watch is Ghost Whisper. While, at times, the show can get rather corny, once in a while there are some good episodes. Lately, during commerical breaks, CBS has been advertising “Medium” on a new night and time…..which is right after GW. I’ve noticed CBS taking on a new strategy for their fall line up this year as they seem to be clumping together related shows, like soon to be on Friday nights. They should start advertising it as their Paranormal Friday Nights
I feel for the character, Allison, because imagine the sleep you would never get being her!!! Moreover, knowing that your dreams unlocked important clues in a murder case….yikes! You thought you toss and turn in your sleep now John…..how ’bout being her???

Yeah, I do fine with my VCR, as long as they continue to make tapes for it. It’s no biggie about not having a digital video recorder. I’m a technology guy about certain things, but a lot of that stuff I never got on board with.
I didn’t see Ghost Whisperer at all during the regular season this year, but I’ve started catching up in re-runs over the summer. You’re right, they should call it Paranormal Friday Nights (PFN). CBS is taking a page out of ABC’s book. Remember in the 90′s when ABC used to have TGIF – a three-hour marathon of sitcoms on Friday nights?
