Hauntcast: Halloween for Your Ears

August 13th, 2009 by John Wolfe

Are you yearning for recordings that will make you bite your nails? Do you crave sounds that drive you to rip at your flesh? Have you found yourself longing for the stench of death to miraculously transmute into some sort of audio format? No? Are you sure? Oh well, I guess it’s just me then. I told my shrink he needed to up the dosage. :) In the spirit of tongue-in-cheek horror and Halloween fun, comes Hauntcast: audio programming (podcasts) for home haunters and Halloween enthusiasts. This cool, professionally produced project features yard haunt news, interviews, horror movie reviews, spooky music and more.

Hauntcast’s recordings have been coming along nice and steady since December ’08, but I just had an opportunity to listen for the first time last night. I’m always busy, and have little time to sit still after pressing the play button, but the beauty of Hauntcast is their portable format; right into my MP3 player the episodes go.

So, to paraphrase a line from Gwen Stefani, “Don’t fight that good stuff in your ear — let Hauntcast blow your mind.” Swing by, take a listen and let ‘em know what you think.
