Hug-A-Blogger
July 31st, 2010 by John WolfeVery rarely do I ask for anything in return from visitors to Season of Shadows. It’s always reward enough just knowing people enjoy spending time at the site. However, this is one of those rare instances where I am asking for a little help. My friends, Autumnforest of Ghost Hunting Theories and Julie of Above the Norm, are working on a project called Hug-A-Blogger. H-A-B will feature both ladies traveling across several states on their way to meet-up with and interview seven horror/spooky bloggers (including me). All of their travels will unfold virtually on the Hug-A-Blogger Blog, eventually culminating with a published book containing the hugs and conducted interviews.
Here’s the part where I need your help: please, swing by Hug-A-Blogger and provide your support by joining the blog via Google’s Friend Connect feature. Autumn and Julie want to show the publishers how much interest is being generated and the more followers they have the better.
As of right now the blog is up and running, but they’re waiting on receiving a green light from publishers prior to posting the first entry. Also, if you want to receive updates on the project’s development, you can follow Hug-A-Blogger on Twitter.
Overall, this is going to be a really great thing for everyone involved. It’ll be highly entertaining to Hug-A-Blogger Blog visitors, since Julie and Autumnforest will be chronicling their entire trip with photographs and video updates of the crazy (and hopefully spooky) stuff they encounter. It’ll be helpful to the bloggers being interviewed — I know I’m looking forward to getting Season of Shadows out in the public eye a bit more. And, of course, it will put Autumnforest and Julie on the map for being published authors!
I so appreciate any support you can give to this project and I know Autumforest and Julie do as well.

Thank you John for sharing this awesome information with us all. I’m sorry to say I’m not a blogger, nor have a website, but I wanted to express to Sharon and Julie that they have my full support and best wishes for this incredible experience!
This will open so many doors of great possibility for them both AND for all those they interview. In addition, it will be refreshing for a change to see/read more genuine ghost hunting than something that’s been scripted way to many times on TV. While the ladies are in New Mexico, they should swing by the Kelly Mine. Oooooooo how I would adore some additional footage from there. I can’t wait to see the journey along the way AND for the first official interview with the creator and CEO of SeasonofShadows….John Wolfe! A rarity indeed ladies
All of my best intention has already been sent out to ya’ll.
Thank you again for the information John.

Goldie,
I’m not sure if Autumn and Julie will be doing any ghost hunting along the way, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed they might squeeze in a little. When they’re here, I’ll see if I can convince them to head south and checkout Kelly.
Thank you so much for the support and for sending out some good vibes! I have a really great feeling about their project and I’m sure it’s going to open a lot of doors for everyone involved.
Julie,
It’s totally my pleasure. Whatever way I can help you guys in promoting the project, I’m there for you. I’m looking forward to meeting you, too!
autumnforest,
That’s very, very kind of you, autumn. Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to meeting you! And I already have a few creative ideas brewing for how we could film my interview in keeping with the theme of anonymity while also working in my Halloween side.
I wish you and Julie a ton of success with Hug-A-Blogger!
trickortreat,
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support.
ssflipo13,
Thank you! I love being able to share what inspires me for Halloween and interacting with everyone who visits and comments. Thanks for your help on the Hug-A-Blogger project.

Very cool, Pam! Thank you so much. Oh, yeah, there’s potential for so many people to be a part of Hug-A-Blogger, since Autumn and Julie are expanding on the project even as we speak. They have a goal of getting bloggers to send in pics of themselves getting hugged. In doing so, the pic and a link to the blogger’s site will be posted. As the project grows, this should be some great exposure for all bloggers getting involved.
