Jack-O-Lantern Witch

Goldie, a really great friend and frequent Season of Shadows visitor, recently sent me some awesome carved pumpkin photos. The majority of them came from Extreme Pumpkins. This jack-o-lantern witch, in particular, is one of my favorites. It was a 2006 contest winner over at EP. Normally, I prefer bare bone, traditional jack-o-lanterns, as opposed to fancy pattern carved pumpkins. But a gourd like this has just the right blend of tradition and innovative creativity, without resorting to stencil carving. Thanks for sending in the picture, Goldie.
Just to give everyone a heads up – I won’t be blogging for the next three days. I have a few things to work on, but should be back with more Halloween entries by the weekend.

I’ve often wondered how I may contribute to your fantasticly creative website, other than donation, but something that is added to the very body of SeasonofShadows.com that will forever be remembered and part of CyberSpace. I’m very pleased you liked the photos, I too thought they were great, and have never seen anyone carve pumpkins the way they were/are shown in the photos. Highly unusual…just like something (someone) else I know, HIGHLY unusual 
I was wondering which was your favorite pic out of the bunch. I have to many to be just one but I’m glad that you enjoyed the photos as much as I did.
I can’t believe how happy I am that I could add something to my all time favorite Halloween website, you just made my week, shoot, make it my month
Have fun on your upgrades, I know how much you just looooove doing that

I loved all of the photos, but the pumpkin witch definitely caught my eye. Glad I could make your month.
