Jack-O-Lanterns Galore
September 29th, 2008 by John Wolfe
I came across this great Halloween jack-o-lantern photo on a fellow Albuquerque blogger’s site. He apparently found it here, with the caption: 30,128 lit pumpkins in Boston Common. The photo was taken in 2006. And, I thought I was going to have my hands full carving eight to ten pumpkins this year. Imagine carving more than thirty thousand! Now, that would make an awesome Halloween Haunter’s Reality video!

Wow! I truly cannot say more than that! John!! This IS an incredible find!! I can honestly say that I have NEVER ever seen such a thing before in my life and there is a certain element of artist flow to this photo of thousands of pumpkins. Not to mention, that photo looks KICK ASS on your website, with the colors and design of it. Granted, all your photos are awesome but this one really takes the cake
Again, dear friend, I say and express outwardly, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying your website this year. Truly one of a kind on the entire world wide web, just like your story telling, which gives me nightmares, and spiritual blog entries on your other site. ONE OF A KIND JOHN
I’m thankful I found your site when I did!!!
Happy Haunting, Goldie~~~

I have dreams about 30,000+ Jack-o-Lanterns all the time. Except they are alive…and they do my bidding.

Goldie,
Thank you so much! I’m starting to uncover more and more great Halloween photos via many New Mexico affiliated websites. We must have a larger Halloween fan base, in the state, than I realized.
Sorry about the nightmares. In a weird way, however, I sort of take that as a compliment.
Johnny,
Awesome dreams, man! In mine, I have those little shoemaker elves helping me.

You should take that as a compliment because I’ve read spooky stories in the past and they had no real effect on me. Felt like I was reading same ‘ol material. Your stories, however, are so graphicly perfect and so specific in every single word that you TAKE MY MIND into the unknown and walk me into the darkness of the smells, the sounds, the feelings. You truly leave no stone unturned my friend and my mind has NO chance at saying, “it’s just a story Goldie”…..NO CHANCE. Your stories consume my mind and clear out the cob-webs only to make new ones that are darker and more creepy than the ones before. And NO, I’m not even going to share how horrible that nightmare was because then I would be REhashing it and I just can’t take that before bedtime
I’ll try again in THE MORNING while I’m enjoying my MORNING coffee…..hehehehe. LOVE your work John and on more than one level, but you know that
All My Best, Goldie~~~

Wow, and just think – those stories are very short. Hmm, I wonder how they would effect you if the stories were several pages long?
As always, Goldie, thanks for your support! I’m waiting to find out when you’ve actually ventured into reading all of them.

Ok, whew, gathered the courage and turned on many lights…I DID IT. Lordy, loooooooooooong scary ass stories John, please don’t
Then again……..no, second thought, please don’t
I can’t believe I finally read them all, I must seem like a wimp to everyone on this site but your writing style and ways of expressions are horrifically detailed down to the fiber of hair. I think the story that made me squirm was Preserved. Damn you! I was in the coffin rumaging around as well and when something grabbed your ankle, it grabbed mine too. Good thing I live alone for if I didn’t, and someone came up behind me, I would have jumped right out of my skin. Your insanely incredible detail in writing John truly and THOROUGHLY amazes me. Your expression on every darn level is just astounding and if you ever did write a book, yes–even if it were a creepy one, more like a scary ass one with you, I would be the first one in line to buy it. Whew, I’m patting my back….”good job Goldie, you made it through all of his stories and my heartrate is still normal!”
Barely~~~
