Listening to the Paranormal

After yesterday’s intense EVP sessions, I was reminded of an episode of “Medium” in which Allison (the psychic, played by Patricia Arquette) decides to listen to music via headphones when visiting a hospital. Because of the constant barrage of ghosts trying to communicate with her, she felt overwhelmed when entering into such a hot spot without an audible distraction. Even as a child I was slightly sensitive to strange sounds, yet until getting into EVP research, I never had an explanation for those sounds.
Though unusual, I always assumed they were just a part of our physical world. After delving into the realm of paranormal recordings, I can honestly say my ability to sense this form of communication has increased dramatically. It’s to the point, in my own house, I’m sometimes tempted to wear headphones when I’m “off-duty” from doing recordings. 
Over the last few months of research, I feel we’ve successfully proven a location doesn’t have to be haunted to obtain ghostly voices. The phenomena is practically everywhere, at all times. And, why shouldn’t it be? The energies of those who’ve passed are all around us with merely a dimensional veil between us.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m psychic, but I do believe I’m sensitive or clairaudient to the voices of ghosts or spirits. I believe we all have certain extra sensory abilities, they’re just not honed until we start utilizing them. If we never reach out beyond our five senses, we’ll never know for certain what “tools” we’ve been keeping dormant.

Agreed John. Many of us are more tuned in to the paranormal sounds and sensations around us but chalk it up to something else, tummy aches, head aches, a “strange” feeling we might have but then just release it and move on…..not thinking much about it. Once we become more tuned in, such as the case with me and you, then I have found that the more awareness I have of such things, the more I find they tend to happen. Actually, it’s not like they happen more so but, rather, I’m more aware of them now which just continues to deepen with every turn. Luckily I’m not nearly as sensetive as you are to such happenings around me for if I were, I would never get any sleep. With this show, “Medium”, she can actually tune them out using headphones. In the case of someone like Chris Fleming who is an energy sensetive, headphones won’t work so well. LoL, you would need headphones for your energy vibration around your BODY and not just the ears. I know you understand what I’m talking about.
What I find interesting also is the more chaotic the energy around the globe becomes due to political unrest and out right criminal activity of the administrations and global leaders, the more unsettled the spirits visiting, or bound, to earth become. They seem to be just as antsy as we are so, in my opinion, there has been a dramtic energy shift on this planet and it continues to strengthen. The video footage of the spirit I saw is just stunning. Oddly enough, when I went back the very next day to record, nothing was there. Moreover, you can clearly see the difference with the front gate. Something was most definately standing in front of the gate on that top step.
Lastly dear friend, you are very correct about the spirits around us. You don’t really have to go to a certain location to get activity for they ARE all around you all the time. Upon going over some older video footage I have of T and B in my CAR, (this was before I got interested in evp research) I was floored this morning to hear 2 female voices IN THE CAR with us while I was recording them sleeping. Moreover, they would classify as a type A evp, you can hear them so clearly, you would swear they were speaking right up against the microphone. So again, in my car? I had just pulled up to the house, looked in back to see them sleeping, decided to start taping them, car still running and we clearly had 2 spirits that were now in my car. One of which said, “did you miss me” and the other one said, “why are you so tired” and which point T reacted in her sleep to that comment. You’ll see…..I can’t wait for you to get this box John!!!!
Oh and hot spots are fun!!! I always know that with my hot spots, I’m going to get all kinds of activity. I really hope at some point and soon, you begin video taping some of your locations because I think you would get the same results as I have, if not stronger John. My video recorder is just as important to me as my digital recorders. Sorry this is so long.

I’m not sure how true-to-life the clip was of Allison wearing headphones. While the show is based on the factual abilities of a real psychic, I’m sure they take many liberties. But I have found that music or television creates a distraction, preventing me from tuning in as easily to the voices. Though I’ve still had several experiences with voices talking over the television volume, it does help.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing your video of the encounter at the mausoleum.
Your experiences of reviewing older footage (prior to an interest in EVP research) does validate the premise that “the voices” are all around us. I have some very old cassette recordings I’ve been curious about reviewing as well. The only problem with listening to something I recorded nineteen years ago is it’s hard for me to rule out contamination of sounds. Of course, most EVPs have a very typical style and sound that’s all their own, so that will help.

JOHN, I’ve had thee most amazing experience just now at “my spot.” I decided to stop by and take some orb photos only this time decided to video record at the same time that I was taking orb photos, primarily to detect evp’s of the orbs. To my amazement, a female voice did not waste time and started saying something after 12 seconds of taping. She ended up staying with me for the 15 minutes of video recording the dark looking out into the spot. Some of the orb photos are just outstanding, again upon my gentle request of seeing them present. They always show up by the hundreds when I do that and tonight was no different!!!!
Only this time, a very soft and gentle female voice stayed with me and sounded like she was right beside my car window the whole time. At the 2:17 mark, I was clicking my camera for a photo and JOHN, OMG…….my flash caught the outline of something off to my left hand side creeping into the frame of my video!!!!!!!!!! This is a much clearer outline of a spirit John, I am just beside myself right now I’m bouncing off the walls. No arms or legs but a very thick wide dark shadow like that of a human body and about 5 feet tall. It’s difficult to freeze frame the 2:17 mark just as the flash went off but upon going over the rest of the video footage, this only happens that one time. Also the evp voice I pick up is of the same woman and at one point you can hear her say, “stay here.” I didn’t record to catch anything on camera but to pick up evp sounds as the video camera seems to be less contaminated with the white noise like my digital camera tends to pick up on.
This is just astounding findings tonight…………wow!

Congratulations on the captures! It sounds as though that location is very active and could be an amazing location to investigate for several hours during the night. Keep checking with your neighbor, maybe he’ll accompany you out there.
