Making a Significant Change to Season of Shadows
May 1st, 2008 by John WolfeOver the course of the last eleven months this blog has witnessed quite a progression. My intention, from the beginning, was to explore many avenues of metaphysical subject matter, including realms of spiritual information. Along this journey, an interesting thing has occurred- I’ve found that my writing has primarily begun focusing on matters of spiritual development and self empowerment.
This wasn’t intentional- at least it didn’t seem to be, as I always planned to continue writing about a variety of supernatural and paranormal subject matter. However, I have consistently found myself drawn back to exploring ways for helping others by better understanding their true nature. In doing so, I believe I’ve been able to carve out a better understanding of what I feel is my true purpose.
As this has been occurring, I’ve also been receiving some feedback from my visitors who are more spiritually inclined. They’ve indicated they enjoy my writing, but would prefer to see it in an environment that doesn’t pertain to Halloween. At the same time, I’ve been receiving feedback from my Halloween enthusiast visitors. They’ve explained they enjoy the Halloween creations, but would rather see a much tighter focus on Halloween and less on the spiritual information.
So, based on the natural progression in my writing and in my life, along with the feedback I’ve been receiving, I’ve come to the decision to build a brand new website. This wasn’t an easy choice to make because of the love, enjoyment and work that’s been poured into Season of Shadows. But in the last several days, while working on the construction of the new site, I’ve really been excited by the idea and the process. I feel this project is coming at exactly the right time and it will only serve to enhance Season of Shadows, rather than detract from it.
The new website will feature information on the exploration of consciousness and reality. It will incorporate topics for spiritual development and self help alike, in a more natural setting. All of my current blog posts (including the audio), pertaining to these subjects, will be moved there. However, Season of Shadows won’t be going anywhere during this transition (or ever). It’s going to remain right here and will eventually be revamped to focus strictly on Halloween and those things that go bump in the night.
My posts pertaining to ghosts and other paranormal subject matter will stay here (and will be updated semi-regularly), along with the Giveaways of Spirit drawings. The drawings will soon begin focusing on gifts that pertain solely to the supernatural. And as we draw closer to October, some cool Halloween related items will be given out too.
I will also be starting up giveaways at the new site, which pertain to self help products and items exploring our spiritual awareness. The current Season of Shadows Giveaways of Spirit drawing for The Secret will go on as planned and I look forward to contacting the winners later this month.
The new site design is about a quarter to half way finished (offline). As soon as everything is online and ready to go, I’ll be providing a blog post, here, with the URL. If you want to receive an email when the new site officially launches, please contact me and I’d be more than happy to let you know. I’m planning on somewhere around the 15th of May.
I hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience for my current readers, especially those that have been receiving regular blog feeds from Season of Shadows. The new site is going to have some even easier features allowing you to keep up to date with my blog posts, including the option to subscribe via email.
Please bare with me as I make this transition. Even though my blogging frequency is down during this move, there will be a few more blog updates here at Season of Shadows, featuring the work you’ve grown accustomed to reading.
I want to thank all of my readers and visitors for their continued support. It’s through your comments and feedback that I’m working to create a more enjoyable, focused experience, at both sites, for everyone.

Yaaaaaaaa John, what fantastic news to both your Halloween readers and admires and your more mystical spiritual readers. This “feels” like it’s right in the flow of downstream for you given how it all came together. I can’t believe how excited I AM for you and your new website. I’m very eager to see it when you have completed it all and ready to view so please keep me on your list of people to notify when this transition takes place.
One of the many things I love about creation, being in the flow and of our Creative Universe is how kind and gentle our little nudges are to head in another direction to add to the many facets of our lives. By no real intention of your own, when you first started up SeasonofShadows, your blogs were quiety and quickly going in another direction but one of which was most definately needed and appreciated by all of your readers and regular visitors. This time last year, did you ever think you would be running TWO websites and both of different material YET both of which still mean a tremendous amount to you, your spiritual evolution AND your passion for Halloween. The amazing growth I’ve seen take place in you in just a short amount of time is most inspiring for I see all of humanity waking in their own way right now.
I applaud you for your continued commitment to YOUR spiritual growth and for sharing your wisdom and insights with us all. We are most lucky to be ON Earth with you right now at this moment in time. By the way, the movie you mentioned, “What the bleep do we know” VERY powerful stuff. I was glued to my pc all afternoon comprehending the information. Valuable knowledge, I wish more were aware of such things. Thank you for the mention John. I anxiously await to view your brand new webpage. Keep up the great work.
Many Cosmic Blessings, Goldie~~~

Goldie,
As you know I’m pretty excited about my new site.
It’s all coming together nicely and I’m still planning on having it up around the 15th of May. Honestly, I never really figured I’d be running two sites (around this time last year) when I was first building Season of Shadows. Season has been such a great experience. I’ve learned so much that has lent itself to building my new site.
I have even more skills under my belt thanks to my experience here. Soon Season of Shadows will be getting a visual makeover, but that’s down the road a bit.
I’m so glad you enjoyed What the Bleep. I love that film!
Thanks again and I will definitely be in touch and let you know when everything is online.
All my best,
John
