Mini-Halloween Skeleton

Found this little guy at Wal-Mart yesterday, for ten dollars. He’s going to make a great reference tool for some of my winter projects. While he’s not as anatomically correct as a full bucky skeleton, he’s so much more so than a plastic blucky. Not to mention, he’s extremely manageable and easy to access on the workbench. I just may pick up a couple more and mache the heck out of them too. On a related note- I’m not sure what’s up with a lot of the local retailers, but their Halloween sections seem very underdeveloped this year. I’m hearing similar grumblings from other online haunters pertaining to their local shops as well.
I used to work retail and it’s pretty obvious the slots on the shelving have been cut down to accommodate fewer items, in conjunction with eliminating aisles altogether from the Halloween section. I did notice the stock of costumes appeared to be slightly larger. Maybe they’ve decided to focus less on props i.e. fog machines, skulls, animated items, light up jack-o-lanterns etc. and go heavier on the costumes and candy. The Spirit Store and Party City appear to be the best bet in Albuquerque and surrounding areas for a well rounded supply of Halloween goodness.
