Much to be Thankful For

As I’m writing this entry, it’s late Thanksgiving night. And, by the time this post is published, it will be the morning of the 28th. However, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of my visitors. Throughout the day, today, I’ve spent time reflecting on the blessings in my life. Now, I promise not to get too deep or spiritual in this post – if you want to see that side of me, you’re always more than welcome to check out Wind of the Soul. Seriously though, Thanksgiving, this year, has had more of a Halloween feel to it than ever before.
Let me clarify why. Although celebrating Halloween has been a passion of mine since I was a child; it was twelve years ago when I set forth the intention to one day build a business related to my favorite holiday. At that time, I had no idea how that would take shape. A little over a decade later, this website represents that intention finally taking form.
Because of many kind Season of Shadows visitors and their willingness to share this site with friends and family, traffic has more than tripled since this time last year. Due to larger traffic increases, I’ve been able to generate more income from my work at SOS. However, this income generation doesn’t always set well with others, as I’ve learned through comments. Apparently, some people believe placing anything on your site, which generates revenue, means you’re a “sell out.” But, that’s OK – I don’t put much stock in negative remarks.
I don’t have a job outside of the work I do at SOS and Wind of the Soul. I’ve invested the majority of my time and energy, for a year and a half, into both websites. I’ve built them entirely from the ground up and am proud to be capable of generating income through something I’m extremely passionate about.
For me, it’s honestly not about how much income I can earn anyway; it’s about how much I can help and entertain others and how much freedom I can obtain in the process. Earning money from my passion represents independence. And, with that independence, comes the ability to give all that I can to my readers, by celebrating the Halloween spirit at Season of Shadows and the human spirit at Wind of the Soul.
This is why my Thanksgiving has been associated more with Halloween this year than ever before. I’m thankful for you, my visitors, and for your interest in my work. I can’t express the depth of my gratitude in words, so I’ll try and let my actions speak for me, through more upcoming Halloween projects. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Sell out? No, it’s called a right. Well, the State Board of Equalization calls it a privileged but just the same, it’s your right.
What I want to know is where your book is?! I’ve spent the past three days perusing Wind of Soul. I hope you have a book, please tell me you have a book and your words just aren’t sitting on the Internet. I’m being facetious. Just the same, where’s the book? lol
More recently I added spirituality links to my long list of subjects in my blogs. I had difficulty finding links that weren’t repeat performances of someone else or over done and over played. I was getting frustrated but then, I went into my forum to look at my older posts on synchronicity and the like and I saw those threads where I had posted some of your older articles. Ah ha! she said.
Consequently, I think you already know what I have in mind with them. Meanwhile, where’s your book?! lol

Funny how bureaucrats always say we are privileged in being able to do something, isn’t it. Whatever happened to our inalienable rights? We never lost those rights until government started mucking around in our business, then they suddenly became a privilege… but I’m digressing big time!
Your comments mean so much to me. It’s true, my words are sitting on the internet, without a bound version to hold in your hands.

Smart posting and for the note Atrueoriginall–PRINT out all of John’s entries like I did, space out the blogs according to the pages you desire then go to Kinkos and have them bind it up in a book format. This way if the net is ever taken from us, BAMMO, you still have John’s wise words of wisdom that forever will be in your clutches. Yes it’s time consuming but I’m sure you would agree WELL WORTH the time invested
I wish I printed out his blogs months ago but hey, better late than never. Now it’s in my work bag for the day and on my nightstand before bedtime
