Night Terror

July 18th, 2009 by John Wolfe

Featuring the creepy Halloween card artwork of Deena Warner. This is such a cool concept and reminds me of the classic depictions of dark entities intermingling with those in the midst of sleep paralysis. To check out more of Deena’s Halloween artwork or to receive her 2009 Halloween card for free (by snail-mail), be sure and visit her site.

Thank God I do NOT sleep on my back!!! I read somewhere that dark entities can “attack” easier if the person is sleeping on their back. Something about being able to land on the person and hold them down. As you know SP has happened to me on 3 occasions and you really do feel like your body is being held down. Now with my experiences, I never saw anything holding me down but my body did seemed paralyzed or tied down. All of those 3 times happened at my old work location, right next to the mantle!!!! Never did that happen anywhere else at work nor at home. Just that one spot and I was indeed resting in my back both times to take a quick nap. In my humble opinion, when we are entering into our REM mode, there does indeed seem to be some kind of disconnect from the body. LoL, perhaps that’s why your so restless at night John…..your soul knows of this already ;-)

You know me, when it comes to OBE’s (out of body experiences): sleep paralysis is a common factor. I actually have gotten to the point I love to be frozen, without any ability to move my limbs, because that’s when the real fun starts! :) I remember you telling me about the three times that happened to you. Thankfully, “dark” encounters usually don’t accompany my sleep paralysis (or mind awake/body asleep as I like to call it) when I’m working on projecting. However, I have heard a lot of things like footsteps and my name being called out.
