Pumpkin Way

This is a great, little site featuring the pumpkin carving talents of Nathan Wesling. What makes Nathan’s pumpkin carving slightly different than most is he appears to do it in multiple layers. Instead of simply slicing immediately through the wall of the gourd to make the eyes or teeth, he whittles away the outermost layer in a superficial manner; revealing the lighter pumpkin flesh below. This lighter flesh creates some really cool contrasting colors in his jack-o-lanterns, prior to making the deeper cuts.
At Pumpkin Way you can easily set his jack-o-lantern images as wallpaper and screensavers or if you’re interested in seeing Nathan’s carving in action, check out the video section. He also has a great feature on his site in which you can send any of his jack-o-lantern photos as Halloween e-cards. Halloween e-cards are a feature I’ve been planning to bring to S.O.S. for a while and after this Halloween – I should have a nice variety of photos to select from for implementing it.
