Halloween Haunter’s Reality #4
October 17th, 2008 by John WolfeWelcome back to the Halloween Haunter’s Reality series. After many, many hours of work (on camera and off), I’ve finally added the fourth installment. Though the video only runs 9 minutes and 26 seconds, there is a lot of time involved in the mache time-lapse segment. This installment also features a short segment at Wagner’s Farm (in pursuit of cornstalks) and pays a visit to the West side Albuquerque Spirit Halloween Superstore.
My camera will definitely continue rolling right on through Halloween, but due to the rapidly approaching big night, episodes five and six probably won’t be released until after the 31st. But, I won’t stop there. Halloween Haunter’s Reality will be an ongoing project. I plan on releasing new episodes throughout the year, as I prep for Halloween ’09. Thanks for joining me for this installment. I hope you enjoy it!

Woah, I never listened to your site before with heavy subwoofers. You actually have heavy thumping sounds in your sound track, the opening. I also noticed it in the time lapse music, alot of thumping and at different times. How did you get that in there too and yet it’s not detectable with regular good Bose speakers? That’s different, of course
John, the THINGS YOU CAN DO with a nail….LoL! I already knew how talented you are but I’ve never known anyone to do with a nail the things you do. Which, I might add, really do make the difference between a finger made vein or one that was pushed up and in together via the nail. The “skin” on the hand reminded me of make-up work I would have seen touring Universal Studios. Could you imagine creating on a regular basis and being highly paid for it?! It would be something you have to enjoy, as well as, and something where “deadlines” wouldn’t concern you. Regardless someone like you with your obvious talent would do remarkable in a horror make-up studio.
In the meantime, before your a big shot and well known by all, I sure do relish all of this great information you share for free. Both of your websites have such a free feeling to it, easy to understand, not to many links to get lost on so we remain on your page. Truly a great job at putting this all together. Your haunter’s reality series has been, by far, thee most interesting Halloween experience on line to this date. You make everything you do look so easy so it helps us viewers to feel securely inspired into making our own props and see how it turns out. Your thorough mannerism, which is clearly expressed all through out your website, is reflected highly in the vidoes, the short stories, the blogs, the Halloween tid-bits, grandpa’s muffled voice in the background that made you laugh.
Happy Haunting and Sparkling Spookin, Goldie~~~

Thanks, Goldie! About the music and the thumping sounds - actually, that wasn’t intentional, but I’m glad it sounded like it was.
It has to do with the way I edited and mixed the music in my audio editing program. I noticed it too, when listening with headphones, but it doesn’t come through when using speakers.
It’s your generous feedback and the kind comments of others which help inspire the work I do. I would do it anyway, because of the enjoyment and my fascination with Halloween, but my visitors (you included) make it all so much more worthwhile and possible. I’m very pleased to take Season of Shadows in whatever direction the work eventually takes me.
Thanks again. I’m glad to know S.O.S has helped the bug bite sooner! And, don’t worry, I’ll do my best to get some good images of everyone (including me in my skull mask and white hair) on Halloween night.
