Rearview Reaper
October 14th, 2009 by John Wolfe
Picked this witchy reaper up at Spirit Halloween during my last visit. It’s sort of a cross between a witch and a skeleton, but the tag said it was a reaper… so, reaper I shall call it. The entire body (including the broom in his/her left hand) hangs well below the dash. Needless to say, I receive a lot of odd looks when I pull up at a light sporting this creepy thing.
It’s like a kitchen witch for road trips.

OMG, that’s huge!! LoL…..the size alone would cause stares, not to mention how spooky that thing looks. Most hang little cutsie things on their mirror that can barely be seen. This looks like your hanging a small person from the mirror
Don’t know about NM but here where I live, cops would pull you over fast for something that big and ask you to take it down. Hey, people put those darn Christmas reefs or the reindeer’s butt on the front of their car……down by the grill area so why not a reaaper inside of the car
I love it and can honestly say I’ve never seen one of those hanging in someones car! Leave it to you to break the mold my friend

I’d love to see that in someone’s car. We have so few Halloween Freaks here, that it’s a real yawn! I’d probably honk and give you a thumbs up! I was in the store today getting glow sticks and a bag of bones (just another day at the store) and they had a little creepy clown statue near the checkout. I should have gotten him. Imagine him riding my dashboard? Wicked!

Goldie,
Surprisingly, he/she doesn’t obscure my vision. If it did, then I’d definitely not drive with it. It can get in my arm’s way a bit as I turn the wheel, but that’s about it. You’re right about the Christmas decor on the grills. When we lived in Texas, there were decorations all over almost every vehicle during December. Here, in NM, I don’t see that as much.
autumnforest,
Ooh, yeah! You just gave me another idea. I’m heading back to Spirit soon. I’ll have to see what they have in the way of things to set on my dash.
Pickings will be getting slim shortly, so I better get back up there. Hope your haunt is all set — I know you were just about there a few days ago.
Ethan,
LOL! Yeah, that bone is the handle for the broom. It’s interesting because the hand holding the broom looks like a regular hand and his/her right hand is a full-on skeleton hand. Not sure why they made it like that, but it’s cool.
