Skulls on Martha

November 20th, 2009 by John Wolfe

During her Halloween countdown, last October, Martha Stewart had Skull-A-Day creator, Noah Scalin on her show. In this clip, Noah brought a few of the skull creations he made during his 365 day long project.

I hope you guys aren’t minding my recent addiction to featuring videos in my entries. I typically find videos to be more interactive for posts and they tell a story so much better than still photos. Of course, I’m sure I’ll be mixing it up again soon, but for right now I’m on a vid kick.

Awesome! I love that idea! Don’t mind vid’s at all. It expresses the ideas, especially visuals like this, so well.

This sure does take me back to your Jack-of-the-Day :-) You were extremely creative with what item to use to create good-ol-Jack. I think you were using mostly food items though. Noah has the design down pat and I adore his skull tea pot. However, I also enjoyed the book shot of skull mountain. I think that’s incredible how he compiled all of his photos to put into a book and it won an award and now flying off the book shelves. I would have never thought to publish the photos. Thank you for sharing this dear one and I SURE am looking forward to my “singing” gift today ;-)

    autumnforest,

Cool, glad you’re enjoying my current all-video entry format. :)

    Goldie,

Thanks about the jack-of-the-day. Yeah, Noah has definitely used some inventive and amazing things for mediums to create skulls. His book looks awesome.
