The Ghost Tree
April 12th, 2009 by John Wolfe
Some very haunting elements in a photo titled “The Ghost Tree” by djberry. Spooky tree images always make me wish there was a gnarly tree in the front yard for my Halloween display. I enjoy seeing other online haunters place pumpkins and ghosts in their trees. I’ve even considered dragging an old dead tree into the yard for Halloween night, but it’s way too impractical. I guess that’s what happens when your haunt’s located in a subdivision in the high desert.

This is one spooky image!!! What a find and only YOU could discover such an image John
Yes, I would imagine dragging some horrid tree to a desert and rock scenery would be slightly impractical. To bad you didn’t live in the hills hey? Then again, not many would be around to see your Halloween masterpieces. Regardless, creepy photo and I’m still looking forward to seeing what your next Jack of the day creation will come from.

I, too, am lacking in the “creepy tree” department. We have one young, skinny tree in our front yard that may have died this past winter, but there’s no practical way I can torment my neighbors by leaving it up until October, or cut it down and store it until H-Day.
*sigh*

Goldie,
I’ve often thought of what it would be like on Halloween if I did live in my ideal location: a few acres of land in the mountains. I suppose I would still set up my haunt and take photos for the website, despite the location being devoid of trick-or-treaters.
Glad you’re thinking about the Jack-O-Lantern Project.
ShellHawk,
I feel your pain on a yard that’s a treeless wonder!

Of course I am……..please don’t keep us in suspence much longer John. What are you going to use to make the next Jack-O-Lantern Project of the day/week???? Hmmm, wonder what you’ll use………….;-)
