The Ghost Upstairs
June 23rd, 2010 by John WolfeShortly after moving into their new home, a young couple finds they’re not alone in the house. Upon encountering a ghostly figure, they soon realize why the previous owners left in such a hurry. “Upstairs” does a great job of building suspense and tension through a paranormal theme.

LoL, so that’s the price we have to pay to have our husbands check down stairs for the noise we heard? Sex
To funny! This was an awesome find and yet again another true horror style to the film I deeply appreciate. It indeed built up suspense through out the short clip and I found my heart pounding once the ghost stood up. In my mind, I was running with the couple and right behind them to get into the car and drive fast. No wonder the previous couple left in a hurry, looks like they did to and sure would be the case with me if a ghost was that pronounced and spooky.
What about you John? Would it kind of creep you to get out of the house or would you be the few brave souls remaining and start setting up your paranormal equipment and begin an EVP session?
That’s the kind of thing DT live for but I think I would be braver if I had others around me like a team such as Josh and his crew. Something about being alone with a ghost like that I would rather NOT experieince.

Yeah, apparently sex is the going rate and the wife or girlfriend didn’t look too happy when he stated that was the cost of his “investigative services!”
The part that creeped me out the most was when the ghost was blocking their path! That sort of thing builds intense amounts of tension cause you just don’t know what she’s going to do. It reminds me of the time I went through a haunted house as a kid and there was a similar scene being played out. As we tried to pass by this scary looking figure (standing completely still), hands came out from the walls, grabbing at our ankles!
If I ever encountered something like that spirit, I’d probably leave too, but then get my composure and try to come back to catch the world’s best video footage of paranormal evidence.
Thanks for watching and commenting, my friend.

Well, I am sorry to say that we chickened out midway through watching this. I think if I can get my son amused with something else in another room I’ll come back and watch it with my fingers over my eyes and shutter them as necessary. I am pleased to know that if you’ve posted it then it will not contain useless gore or other such stupidity so I thank you for that!
I can make scary props all day long but watching scary movies that are over the top yucky/gory/pointless- no thanks- I’d rather have my teeth drilled.

I totally share your sentiment on all that gore stuff, Camile! I love making the groundbreakers and overseers of my haunt have creepy looking features, but I draw the line there. I won’t ever create anything gory. Hope your son wasn’t too scared by “Upstairs.” Did you get to finish it?
