The Kingdom of Witches

March 24th, 2010 by John Wolfe

Capturing Halloween’s magic in a whimsical way, this very cool animation, The Kingdom of Witches, is based on the artwork of Jan Pienkowski and features music by Nox Arcana. If you watched the vid in my St. Patty’s Day post, then you’ll once again recognize Nox’s “Labyrinth of Dreams” backing up the witchy landscape.

I love this animation–it reminds me of my Halloween projector, only set to music.

This is by far the COOLEST animation I’ve ever seen. The colors are absolutely delightful: the shades of purple and greens are truly divine and the many golden glows of illumination really sets the mood. Actually this looks like some place I might have lived in another dimension ;-) I also loved the quick shot of the black cat going along for the broom ride on a dark and mystical night. Lastly I do believe that’s my favorite tune from Nox Arcana.

Great, now I have to sign into my youtube account so I can favor this video! Many blessings my friend and much gratitude to you and your mama for creating your physical form in that your energy could experience being human. Thank you Mama Wolfe :-)

I’ve come to love anything with silhouettes, especially if it has a Halloween or spooky theme, so I’m always on the lookout for this style of animation. Once again, I have to thank you for pointing out the colors–I had no idea there were that many different ones in the vid.

I got a kick out of the black cat riding on the witch’s broom, too–all I could think about was how his claws would have to be dug in tight to that broomstick to hold on. :)

    Thanks, Goldie!

Thanks, S.a.M., for watching and commenting. I agree with you about it being mesmerizing–I’ve already watched The Witches Kingdom four or five times.

That looks like my kind of town.

I know, huh? Too bad it’s not an actual place… sort of like those old Walgreen’s commercials about a town that was perfect. :)

    I love those. lol
