There Are Monsters

April 23rd, 2010 by John Wolfe

If you enjoyed that unsettling short I posted last month called Smile, then you should get a kick out of “There Are Monsters.” In the film, a couple encounters two very odd characters–one right in their own backyard, and the other at a convenience store.

This is a weird little flick, and you know me–I love weird stuff.

John, sh*t, that scared the crap right out of me. You could have at least given our hearts a slight warning. Sh*t! My reaction to just that one scene early on shocked me just as bad as those damn big scary faces at the end of the videos. I’m not even sure if I should see the rest………….dang it!! Ok I manged through it. That was really…………weird :-| I will say this though, I enjoyed the music at the very beginning of the video. It reminded me of what you tend to play while your building props.

    You just wait…………… ;-)

Very bizarre and cool. They really told a story in a small amount of time. Felt like a whole movie.

that was extremely well done. The part with the glass door made me jump out of my seat lol. I wonder what camera was used…

    Goldie,

Sorry for not providing a little warning and giving a heads up prior to watching. Glad you enjoyed the music though.

    autumnforest,

That’s very true–it did feel like an entire film and the premise was strong enough that I think they probably could develop it out even further with more installments.

    Edward,

Great to hear from you! Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m not sure about the camera.
