There Are Monsters
April 23rd, 2010 by John WolfeIf you enjoyed that unsettling short I posted last month called Smile, then you should get a kick out of “There Are Monsters.” In the film, a couple encounters two very odd characters–one right in their own backyard, and the other at a convenience store.
This is a weird little flick, and you know me–I love weird stuff.

John, sh*t, that scared the crap right out of me. You could have at least given our hearts a slight warning. Sh*t! My reaction to just that one scene early on shocked me just as bad as those damn big scary faces at the end of the videos. I’m not even sure if I should see the rest………….dang it!! Ok I manged through it. That was really…………weird
I will say this though, I enjoyed the music at the very beginning of the video. It reminded me of what you tend to play while your building props.
You just wait……………

Very bizarre and cool. They really told a story in a small amount of time. Felt like a whole movie.

that was extremely well done. The part with the glass door made me jump out of my seat lol. I wonder what camera was used…

Goldie,
Sorry for not providing a little warning and giving a heads up prior to watching. Glad you enjoyed the music though.
autumnforest,
That’s very true–it did feel like an entire film and the premise was strong enough that I think they probably could develop it out even further with more installments.
Edward,
Great to hear from you! Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m not sure about the camera.
