Tree Witch
October 4th, 2009 by John WolfeIt’s not easy to find creative, Halloween related scares that are performed in good taste, but when I do, I always pass them along. The “tree witch” probably wasn’t setup specifically for Halloween, since the video was recorded for the Belgium version of “Just For Laughs,” but it still has a Halloween/fall feel to it.
The audio, unfortunately, has been dubbed over with fake sounds for the viewing audience, but all in all it’s a good vid. I especially like the part where the man goes into attack mode with a stick!

I loved the lady running off into the woods at the end–what a spaz! I think the Japanese would probably appreciate this trick more. I’d love to see their reactions. Cool vid!

Good way to scare people, that’s why I adore when you post those videos of innocent trick-or-treaters who get scared right out of their shoes….as well as their parents too
Now, had they done this AT NIGHT…….Ooooooooo, and cover themselves with a sheet, that would have scared the marbles right out of folks. Still priceless to catch people off guard. Around this time last year, T and I were watching ghost videos and, without knowing, I came upon those damn scary face ending videos and not only made me jump holding onto to her but she let out a scream that I’ll never forget……..then the poor thing started crying. I quickly distracted her with puppy boxer videos but damn I hate videos like that! This one is cool though and great find as always dear friend.
Oh and I just went to the store, Safeway, and was delighted to see that the Pepsi and Sunkist soda cans were decorated for Halloween. It already feels like October is flying by much to fast and my employers ALREADY have a huge candy bowl filled with candy by the front door……LoL. Looks like I’m not the only one anxious for Halloween…….now if I can just prevent myself from eating some Whoppers and Kit-Kats, don’t go well with the diet

That’s right, huh, a lot of the Japanese programming features these types of pranks. Your comment reminded me of the joke where they focus on someone walking alone down an alley and all of a sudden all these people start running behind the person.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I know what you mean about those startle/scream face videos. I usually avoid those as well, but like you, I’ve been surprised by them in some vids that are said to be legit ghost footage. One time they did it while I had my headphones on – that wasn’t pleasant!
Cool, I haven’t seen the Pepsi or Sunkist cans. Halloween is about the only time of year I notice pop culture/marketing campaigns. Throughout the year, I usually pay that stuff no mind, but when October comes around, I’m looking for any Halloween related promotional item I can get my hands on.
I’m not even worried about my diet now, I’ve stopped working out again until after Halloween. So, I’ll gorge on candy for the rest of October.
