Underground
November 18th, 2010 by John Wolfe
Took this image during a shoot last night for the 2010 Halloween Haunt vid. Though I already filmed the yard haunt on Halloween night, I decided to capture some additional footage to add as an intro. It was a little like creating a mini version of Halloween all over again, except the location was different and the Angel of Death didn’t make a return appearance. In the process of doing the shoot, I also grabbed a few stills along the way. This pic (taken from above, looking into the “grave”) represents the first time one my groundbreaker corpses has been placed below ground. Click image if you’d like to see a much larger view.
I’m hoping to have the 2010 Haunt vid posted this weekend.

Holy Moly, did you just rob a grave? LoL!! I’m really spooked out with how great this photo turned out. This looks MUCH to realistic John, I had no idea just how dramatic the look would be. Well, I had a good idea but, as usual, you just totally blew my mind with this image.
I am beyond excited to see the video and how you put it all together!!!!
Also, I have 2 words for you my dear:
HALLOWEEN TEASE
You know you are, don’t try and deny it
However, I for one believe that teasing and making us wait is a good thing. Feels like I’m at my Poppo’s house watching him cook, smelling the ingredients merging together BUT not yet able to taste it. I’m salivating big time John, you always have a way of making me drool for your work. I’m most anxious to see the video. I LOVE this idea big time!!!!

Autumnforest, Camile and Julie,
Thanks, guys! Hopefully I’ll have it posted by Sunday night. I’m starting the editing process and selecting the music today.
Goldie,
Now that’s what I like to hear!
Thanks!
Something that struck me as interesting during the filming of the video was the fact I had been planning this idea for the intro ever since I was eight-years old! As a kid, I’d always daydream about what would look good for Halloween haunt displays. Now I didn’t know at age eight I would be working on Season of Shadows, but I used to fantasize about setting up the exact sequences I shot in the footage. It was so surreal when it hit me that I was in the midst of working on the very setup I had planned all those years ago! It took me twenty-seven years to get all the pieces in place, but it finally worked out.

I love this corpse. The dirt in the eye sockets is a wonderful touch.

Ethan,
Thank you. It was totally an accident that the dirt got in the eye sockets, but I liked the look too and decided to leave it.

ssflipo13,
Thanks, my friend!
Nah, didn’t do any real digging to obtain this corpse. I promise he’s just Elmer’s Glue and Viva paper towels.
