Winter in Brompton Cemetery
November 19th, 2009 by John WolfeBrompton, like Highgate was opened in London during the mid-19th Century. Both locations are considered to be part of the Magnificent Seven (link takes you to Wikipedia), which also include: Kensal Green, West Norwood, Abney Park, Nunhead and Tower Hamlets. These seven cemeteries were created between 1832 and 1841 after Inner London churchyard grounds could no longer handle burials.
The snow, covering Brompton’s statuary, is quite striking in this footage.

This is quite impressive with the snow blanketing the gravestones isn’t?
I just love cemeteries, they are so peaceful and calm. We don’t get much snow at all where I live so videos like this are nice to watch not to mention I don’t get bone chilled cold admiring the white fluff from my warm home
We’re supposed to get a wicked rain storm tomorrow with wind gusts up to 100mph! I’ll believe it when I see it since I’m a huge fan of powerful rain storms
Hope your feeling well dear friend….
Oh and I finally found Odwalla’s Super Pumpkin Protein drink. Oh yum! If I could juice pumpkins, I would add it to my list of fruits and veggies to juice. Finally found the juicer that’s right for me and will arrive on the 21st!!! Perfect timing then it’s a trip to the local farmers market and cleaning out the produce section
Did you ever try the Pumpkin Protein John?

Pam,
I watched that video twice and I never even noticed the snowman…lol!
Goldie,
Did the rain and wind show up? Glad to hear you settled on a juicer. I never did try the pumpkin protein. Locally, I don’t have access to a wide array of protein or health food products. My best options are in Albuquerque, but I keep forgetting to check when I’m there. Thanks for the reminder
