For example, in Halloween '09, all we got was the typical Walmart fare and a commercial for a thrift store called Savers. The Savers piece was encouraging people to shop for gently used costumes, and that was it. Of course, I'm so busy during October that I don't have the TV on all that much, but when I was watching, those were the only ones I saw again and again. It's similar to how you guys have those cool little ten or fifteen second "bumpers" wishing you a Happy Halloween on your local channels. Our stations don't carry those here, either. Maybe that's why I'm even more impressed by Meijer, considering the drought when it comes to Halloween related material on my local channels. You're going to have to make a recording for me made up solely of anything Halloween airing on your channels! I think, perhaps, the owner of those stores has a passion for Halloween. Meijer has more Halloween commercials than I've seen from any store around here in the big city. Sure you have your typical quick commercials during the season containing flashes of costumes and candy but rarely, if ever, can I find commercials that are this creative in the spirit of Halloween. They do have the best Halloween commercials! These were great! I think, perhaps, the owner of those stores has a passion for Halloween.
