Halloween Short Stories
This section houses a collection of my own, very short pieces of fiction. When you click on one of the title links you will be immediately thrust into a scene that's filled with descriptive Halloween imagery, as viewed through the eyes of the main character. I like to call these chaotic, due to each stories extremely abrupt nature and the rampant use of adjectives and descriptions of dark themes. Below each title link is a short, abbreviated excerpt from the story.
[...] From beneath my hood I peer out beyond the boat, beyond the bank of the dark waters, out to where the cloak of nightfall refuses to lift,[...]
[...] Through my jagged eyes and mouth the light pours forth, flitting and flickering- casting obscure shapes and distorted shadows upon the terrain.[...]
[...] On this eve of All Hallows their torment will taste much sweeter. I know you have suffered. Soon they too will understand extraordinary suffering.[...]
[...] I feverishly run my fingers among the remains, searching for an heirloom that was too precious to part with- even in death.[...]
[...] Like scavengers riding the waves of destruction, they gather to pillage and plunder. My constitution is now far too weak to prevent their rapid advancement.[...]
