Mission & Purpose

My primary reason for creating Season of Shadows was to find a way to embrace the spirit of All Hallow's Eve and the supernatural, while giving you as much valuable content as I possibly could. It's through the passing on of this content, by utilizing inspiring ideas and experiences, that we can all grow. I hope to help all of my visitors in some way- whether it's through showing someone how to build great Halloween props or through the sharing of the type of information you will find in the majority of my blog posts and articles.

Now you may still be thinking to yourself, "How, exactly does a website like this create value and personal growth?"

Answering that question is the point of inspiration I draw on for the majority of my writing. I choose material that not only pertains to Halloween and the supernatural, but that which also provides new ways and perspectives for looking at the apparent mysteries within our Universe. I feel that when we open our minds, even the slightest bit; we are in the process of experiencing growth. It's in the midst of this process that we can achieve a better understanding and perspective on not only the metaphysical and paranormal, but on also developing our thinking outside the proverbial box. It's my hope, that by shining a light on this subject matter, together we may discover some clarity amongst the mystery.

The four requirements/questions I ask myself (they are posted on the wall in front of me), prior to writing an article or blog for this site are:

How does this material provide an avenue for personal expansion and better understanding of the possibilities within the Universe, and the potential within each of us?
How can it inspire something further within the reader's life and in turn, within my own life?
How will this subject, and my attention to it, create a shift in the reader's awareness and thoughts on the subject?

How does it tie in with the Halloween spirit, carrying on the tone and feel of the site?

By posing these questions, prior to writing and adding content, I feel I can provide my ideas on timeless, thought provoking material, while hopefully inspiring someone else, all in a setting based on my favorite time of year. Many people only stop to ponder the mystical and paranormal during the last few days of October, but it's my desire to keep those open minded thoughts flowing all year long. My intention is to utilize Halloween ambience as a launching platform to take you (if you're willing) further down the path of the supernatural, than that one night could ever allow.

As we take that path together- I always welcome your input and ideas, so that I too can continue learning and growing right along side Season of Shadows.
