Season of Shadows H2O

Season of Shadows Bottled Water was created to help generate awareness about the UNICEF Tap Project. Since 2007, the Tap Project has raised almost $2.5 million in the U.S. and has helped provide clean water for millions of children globally. The first program of its kind, UNICEF's Tap Project has become a dynamic movement that affords everyone the opportunity to help provide the world's children with safe, clean water.

Through numerous fundraising and volunteer activities, the UNICEF Tap Project celebrates the clean water we enjoy on a daily basis by encouraging celebrity, restaurant, volunteer, corporate, and government supporters to give this vital resource to children in developing countries. The concept is basic and compelling: "When You Take Water, Give Water."

Originally, Season of Shadows Bottled Water was designed to be sold here at SoS, with the intention of donating all proceeds to UNICEF's Tap Project. Unfortunately, the high cost associated with customizing, packaging and shipping the bottles wasn't feasible for creating affordable Halloween-themed drinking water for visitors/customers, while still allowing for a large amount of proceeds to be donated to the Tap Project.

So, in lieu of actually selling the bottles, I've decided to host ongoing giveaways for 6-packs of Season of Shadows Drinking Water throughout the 2011 summer through drawings held at the SoS Blog. It's my hope that each drawing will continue raising awareness about the vital need to help children have clean, life sustaining drinking water. And each time I launch a water bottle giveaway, I'll be making a $5 donation to UNICEF's Tap Project myself.
